Panama City | Panama City Beach | is a community in Bay County, Florida, United States located along U.S. Route 98 and is the largest city between Tallahassee and Pensacola. This municipality is located on the panhandle of northwest Florida on beautiful St. Andrews Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Panama City is known as a popular tourist location year round offering a comfortable climate and friendly atmosphere.

Panama City's attributes provide a highly attractive living environment compatible with a variety of tastes and life styles. Cited most often are: pleasant climate, attractive housing opportunities, fishing and water sports, arts and entertainment and a pleasing small town environment for raising a family.

Panama City is located at 30°10'28?N 85°39'52?W (30.174451, -85.664480), within the Florida Panhandle and along the Emerald Coast. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city limits encompass an area of 35.4 square miles, of which 29.3 square miles is land and 6.2 square miles, or 17.39%, is water. Panama City has a humid subtropical climate, with short, mild winters and long, hot and humid summers. In January, temperatures fall to 37°F, and in summer, rise to 91°F (33°C), although in the winter of 2010, temperatures plummeted to 15°F. Tyndall Air Force Base is located east of the city. The HHT 1-153 CAV is stationed there. It is part of Florida Army National Guard's 53rd Infantry Brigade.

The city was served by the Panama City-Bay County International Airport (PFN) until May 22, 2010. It was replaced by the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) with Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines.

Panama City Beach is a city in Bay County, Florida, United States, on the Gulf of Mexico coast. The city is often referred to under the umbrella term of "Panama City", despite being a distinct municipality from the older and larger inland Panama City to the east, making Panama City and Panama City Beach two separate cities. Panama City Beach's slogan is "The World's Most Beautiful Beaches" due to the unique sugar-white sandy beaches of northwest Florida.

For quite some time Panama City Beach has been a popular vacation destination, especially among people in the Southern United States. The city is also a very popular spring break destination, sometimes having been referred to as "The Spring Break Capital of the World”, due to about 100,000+ college and high school students who would arrive during the months of March and April.
